Products

Learn how to add, edit, and manage products in your GoSovereign store.

Adding a Product

  1. Go to Admin > Products
  2. Click Add Product
  3. Fill in the product details:

Basic Information

  • Name - The product title customers see
  • Description - Detailed product description (supports basic formatting)
  • Price - Product price in USD (e.g., $29.99)
  • Category - Optional category for organization

Images

Upload up to 5 images per product. The first image is the main product image shown in listings.

  • Drag and drop images or click to browse
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP
  • Recommended size: 800x800 pixels or larger
  • Images are automatically optimized

Inventory Tracking

Enable inventory tracking to:

  • Show stock counts to customers
  • Prevent overselling
  • Get low stock alerts

To enable:

  1. Toggle Track Inventory on
  2. Enter current stock quantity
  3. Set low stock threshold (default: 5)

When stock reaches the threshold, you'll receive an email alert.

Product Variants

Variants let you offer different options like sizes or colors.

Creating Variants

  1. In the product editor, click Add Variant Type
  2. Enter the type name (e.g., "Size" or "Color")
  3. Add options (e.g., "Small", "Medium", "Large")
  4. For each variant combination:
    • Set price adjustment (e.g., +$5 for XL)
    • Set individual stock levels
    • Add variant-specific SKU

Example: T-Shirt with Size and Color

Variant Type: Size
Options: S, M, L, XL

Variant Type: Color
Options: Black, White, Navy

This creates 12 variant combinations:
- S/Black, S/White, S/Navy
- M/Black, M/White, M/Navy
- etc.

Each combination can have its own inventory count.

Digital Products

Sell downloadable products like ebooks, courses, or software.

Setting Up Digital Products

  1. Toggle Digital Product on
  2. Upload the downloadable file
  3. Customers receive a secure download link after purchase

Delivery

  • Download links are unique per order
  • Links expire after 7 days
  • Customers can download up to 3 times
  • Secure, signed URLs prevent sharing

Supported Files

Any file type up to 100MB:

  • PDFs, ebooks
  • ZIP archives
  • Audio/video files
  • Software installers

Bulk Import

Import multiple products at once using CSV.

CSV Format

name,description,price,category,inventory
"Product Name","Description here",29.99,Category,100

Import Steps

  1. Go to Admin > Products
  2. Click Import CSV
  3. Upload your CSV file
  4. Review the preview
  5. Click Import

Products are created immediately after import.

Product Limits

| Tier | Product Limit | |------|---------------| | Starter | 10 products | | Pro | Unlimited | | Hosted | Unlimited |

If you're on Starter and need more products, upgrade to Pro.

Tips

Product Photos

  • Use consistent lighting and backgrounds
  • Show products from multiple angles
  • Include size reference when helpful

Descriptions

  • Lead with key features
  • Include dimensions/specifications
  • Answer common questions

Pricing

  • All prices are in USD
  • Stripe handles currency conversion for international customers
  • Consider including shipping in price for simplicity
